					Matt Davenport has a Master of Engineering degree in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from Cornell University. He manages the day to day operations of the farm. He and his wife Shannon were the recipients of the 2005 "Young Farmer Achievement Award" for the state of Virginia from the Virginia Farm Bureau.
					In the 1990s Tom and Matt joined the farming operation. Using the excellent purebred Angus base developed by Bob Davenport, they increased the herd size and began a commercial and cross breeding operation. Tom and his wife Mimi made films and are best known for their series From the Brothers Grimm which is set in the countryside on and around Hollin Farms. Their feature Willa: An American Snow White received the American Library Association's Carnegie Medal. In 2000, Tom started folkstreams.net to video stream his documentaries and others on American Roots Cultures. He is currently developing farmfoody.org, a social networking site for farmers and their customers.
					Hollin Farms was started by Robert C. Davenport in the early 1950s. The farm is named after Hollin Hills, an award-winning community of modern houses that he developed in Fairfax county in the 1950s and 60s. At Hollin Farm he focused on performance testing bulls, and over 50 years developed an outstanding purebred Angus herd, selling bulls to mainly commercial cattle operations. He was awarded the Virginia Cattleman of the Year award for his efforts at improving beef cattle in Virginia. Bob Davenport died in 2002. He was 96 years old.
					Mimi Davenport, (wife of Tom, mother of Matt) in farm wife tradition, runs the office, keeps the books and does the billing. She also designed this web site along with those for Davenport Films and Folkstreams for the National Endowment for the Humanities, among others. She is a Fine Arts graduate of Cornell University and is an active watercolor painter whose landscapes can be seen in the Berkley Gallery in Warrenton.
