Who
we are
Established in 2003, Leon Stolarski Fine Wines is a specialist supplier
(and, in the majority of cases, the sole U.K importer) of wines from
some of the best small growers in the south and south-west of France.
Much has been said about the quality of our wines by such esteemed writers as Jancis Robinson M.W, Tim Atkin M.W,
Richard Ehrlich, Tom Cannavan and Neal Martin. More recently, we have added
lots of wines from other areas of France - notably Provence, Burgundy,
Loire Valley. And although we are now also venturing further afield by including
wines from other countries (both Europe and the New World) France - and
more particularly the south - will always remain closest to our heart!
Leon Stolarski Fine Wines is also a founder member of the Association of Small Direct Wine Merchants
(ASDW).

November 2008 - Lots of new wines just in!
December 2008 - All prices reduced, in line with the introduction of the new 15% VAT rate.
We have just taken delivery of over 20 new wines from 5 different
growers. Two of these growers, Domaine
Monplezy in Pézenas and Domaine Azan
in Pinet are completely new to our list. Domaine Monplezy is yet another
of our growers to practice sustainable viticulture, whilst Domaine Azan
(a.k.a Domaine de Petit Roubié) has organic certification.
We also have lots of new vintages from three of our favourite growers,
Domaine
d'Archimbaud in Saint-Saturnin, Domaine
La Colombette (just north of Béziers) and the brilliant
Neffies
cooperative, north-west of Pézenas. And in amongst that little
lot are no less than 9 white wines and 3 rosés, which goes some
way to redressing the balance of our list, which was starting to become
a little too biased in favour of the reds - wonderful though they are!.
And hot on the heels of these new wines, we now have fresh stocks of
our best selling Madiran wines from Chateau
Peyros. And it doesn't stop there, since we will also be taking delivery
of new vintages from various other Languedoc and Roussillon growers in
the run-up to Christmas, making our list even more comprehensive than before
- so watch this space!
